Ray ‘Chuck’ Bennett is one of the more cunning and alluring figures to have hit Australian crime.

Like the Kane brothers, Chuck had an unsettled childhood, growing up right in the heartland of thuggish Melbourne.

Despite this connection, Chuck and his clan were certainly not friends with the Kane brothers. The rivalry intensified after the Great Bookie Robbery and their feud became a war.
