What a load of wasters!

Scotland throws away colossal amounts of perfectly good food, buys mountains of clothes it never wears, burns fuel as if there was no tomorrow and hangs on to junk it never uses. Don't believe us? Join eight high profile Scots as we rifle through their rubbish, sell off their clobber, cut down their mileage and turn down their central heating. They were amazed by how much they could save and you will be too. Because, frankly, it's all Too Good To Waste!

Episode one with Des McLean and Stephen Purdon is on STV on April 3, followed by episode two with Julie Hannah and Shereen Nanjiani on April 10. Episode three is on TV on April 17, with Fred MacAulay and Kaye Adams, and episode four with Chick Young and Liz McColgan will be shown on April 24.

Programmes

Stephen & Des
What a pantomime! Stephen Purdon and Des McLean are selling the family silver at a car boot sale to declutter their house. Then Des has to use re-useable nappies (on his baby boy, that is), But guys, please, switch off some of those gadgets! On STV on April 3.
Shereen & Julie
Wasting food; it's a sin, so it is, especially at the scale Shereen Nanjiani and Julie Hannah manage, the equivalent of 40 supermarket trollies full a year. And then there are the clothes. If you're not going to wear it, hen, give it to someone who will. On STV on April 10.
Fred & Kaye
Fred McAulay becomes a bin-man and Kaye Adams learns to shovel... compost to find out how to cut down on what they throw away, how much petrol they use and how much domestic energy goes out their windows. On STV on April 17.
Liz & Chick
Liz McColgan and Chick Young are unashamed gas guzzlers so we introduce them to the bike doctor – yes, that’s right - who reminds them of the joys of cycling. And as for food waste, how about growing some of your own? On STV on April 24.
