The Nightshift

Well hello there my fellow Nightshifters!! I hope you enjoy reading a wee bit about me so you all know who is blethering to you during the night on the TV!!
 
First of all, l will start with my career path. I've had various jobs within my working years. I have been a medical rep, a beauty therapist, a barmaid, a PA, a nanny....and the list goes on and on!!

I could never quite settle myself because l always dreamed of being on the radio and TV. I finally followed my dreams and started working at Cyde1 a few years ago where l worked as the travel girl for Suzie McGuire and Romeo.

After lots of training, patience and determination my boss finally gave me a great opportunity and l joined George Bowie and my fellow Nightshift friend Des McLean on the Breakfast Show at Clyde1 for a year.

Since then, I have been hooked and have the Radio/TV bug!! I love working on the STV Nightshift and l really enjoy knowing that I’m keeping you company and thank you for doing the same for me!
 
Ok now a wee bit about me…I'm 32 years of age and I’m single (tick tock tick tock) ha. Don't worry, there is a Mr/Mrs Right out there for all of us and he/she is looking for you right now!

My idea of a good night out is going down the West End with my best friends or sisters, catching up on all the gossip and having lots of laughs. I also enjoy a night in watching The X Factor while snuggling on the couch crying my eyes out when they play the sad music and tell sad stories, rock and roll eh!

I love spending time with my family and friends and many other things like waking up and seeing the winter snow, eating good food and sitting at the airport when the weather is awful outside and knowing I’m about to elope to the sunshine.

I also enjoy all the girly things like buying shoes/clothes/beauty products, giggling so hard my belly hurts and I like the nice feeling you get when knowing I’ve made a difference to someone's day.

l love completing a challenge and facing my fears. I once sky dived out a plane at 9000 feet in South Africa and the plane was tiny with six of us crammed in… l thought l was going to stop breathing (although it ended up one of the best experiences of my life)!

And finally a few secrets about me...l am a very claustrophobic person, l can't swim very well and when l try, it looks like l am drowning (not very attractive).

l always have French polish on my feet, I'm obsessed with love hearts, l love burny hot bubble baths with candles, l eat more food than a man, l hate putting petrol in my car, l sleep with an eye mask on, l had my tonsils out two years ago and I think l suffer from OCD – I’m worse than Monica in Friends!

l am obsessed with drinking Volvic water, l run 2/3 times a week (it helps my mental state of mind - try it), l don't smoke, l have lived in America and Germany and travelled Thailand and I can now say for certain that there really is no place like home…l am officially a total home bird!
