Had another Night of Fun with you guys on The Nightshift last weekend, in fact I enjoyed it so much that I’m coming back this coming Saturday (21st April) Please join me for a blether if you’re up and about through the wee small hours of Sunday morning!
Two outstanding things have happened to me over the past couple of weeks, the first of those happened in my kitchen last weekend and although it probably won’t set the heather alight in your quarters it was a truly ground-breaking milestone for me – I made stovies all on my own!!! Lol. In the grand scheme of things I know that doesn’t sound all that spectacular however not withstanding the fact that I’m a pathetic wreck when it comes to culinary creations this adventure for me was nothing short of a miracle. The extraordinary thing is that I simply made it up as I strolled along, just in case you’re interested here’s how I pulled the whole thing together:
Ingredients:
1 Glass of White Wine (white)
Quality Steak Mince
Sausages (Chopped)
Onions (Chopped)
1 Glass of White Wine (white)
Potatoes (Chopped)
Carrots (Chopped)
X3 OXO Cubes
Place in a Pot, simmer for an hour and bring to the boil
Another Glass of Wine!! (white)
The end result is “A truly wonderful Afternoon” Enjoy Lol
Away from the kitchen I had a wonderful evening at Glasgow’s Pavilion Theatre last Saturday (April 7th) in the company of one of the countries truly great superstars (in my opinion) – Joe Longthorne, a wonderful entertainer!! Although Joe’s been battling cancer for many years now he continues to raise that bar year in year out whenever he steps on that stage, he’s a truly wonderful entertainer – full stop!! As he says somewhat comically during his performance “It’s been a long time since he’s been on the Telly” – let’s face it he continues, “I can’t cook and I can’t dance” (Lol) so that might explain things...............................!!! How True.
Let’s get Joe back on the Telly sometime soon, (maybe he would be a better candidate for Eurovision than Humperdink!!!)
Have a good couple of weeks – catch you soon on the essential STV Nightshift.
Cheers
Jim xx
