Hiya Nightshifters
As I write this blog I am at a friend’s house in the big smoke - London! I finished my Theatre School Easter Workshop last week and headed down south for a family wedding and of course the long Easter weekend. I have eaten more chocolate than ever this Easter, don't get me wrong I'm not complaining - I love the stuff…white - milk - dark - I really don't mind. I remember years ago asking my mum to buy me a white chocolate egg so of she trotted to the shop and bought me the biggest, whitest, deliciousest (my spell check has just told me deliciousest isn't a word but you get the point) egg. I was so excited until I discovered that it was a special egg - for diabetics! I am not diabetic and at the time didn't know anyone who was; incidentally I do know maybe I should have kept it in the fridge, would it keep for 20 years??
Anyway back to the point of me being in London, I was going to stick around and catch up with a few friends, go for dinner and see a show but I've decided that I'd rather keep my £200! That's a bit of an exaggeration but London is expensive, besides which I will be back down here in a few months. I'm off to a concert in Hyde park - an 80's fest of ultimate cheesy pop music - The Hit Factory Live - Rick Astley, Sonia, Steps, Sinitta, Bananarama, Brother Beyond and more. I love a bit of cheesy music so it should be good, rumour has it that Dame Kylie of Minogue will join Lord Jason of Donovan onstage for a special rendition of "Especially for you"…I will of course keep you posted.
Well suppose I should stop typing and get myself organised for my road trip north back to the homeland. People often ask why I go by car and not plane - the simplest answer is that I can't drive a plane. Seriously though by the time I get the bus, to get the tube to get to the airport an hour and a half before the flight, which nine times out of ten is always delayed I would be better off driving. I'll do my usual tooting of the horn when I get over the border.
Until next time Nightshifters take care!
