THIS IS AN ADVERTISEMENT FEATURE

YES are running fully funded courses in 4 locationsfor young people who want to know and understand how to run a successful business, with no need for any experience.

It aims to give YOU:

  • knowledge and experience to start up and run your own successful business
  • an SQA  qualification

So what’s it all about and what do you need to do to get onto this course …..

It’s a 9 month programme, part-time , 3 days per week, a mix of studying and learning by doing delivered by people with real business skills.  For the first 3 months you will cover 5 modules:

  • Getting Started in Business
  • Personal Enterprise Skills
  • Marketing Skills for the Entrepreneur
  • Preparing and Presenting a Business Plan
  • Customer Care

There will be a number of opportunities to network with students from the other groups across the country, and meet a number of successful business people  (such as ShafRasul, On-Line Dragon; Simon Howie –successful butcher and multi-business owner), through a series of Master Classes.
Months 3 - 6 are what makes this programme unique.  YOU will be eligible for an internship with an entrepreneurial business and more importantly this will be matched to your aspirations.    For 3 days each week YOU will see and learn how a business works from the inside outand use YOUR practical skills learned during the first 3 months.

Practical Business Skills is the final module needed to complete the qualification and as part of this you will be researching, writing and presenting a projectfrom your internshipbusiness experience.
