Bronzed beauties have helped smash the world record for the number of people spray tanned in one hour, as part of an event to promote safe tanning.
Around 100 lovely ladies gathered in Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium yesterday, September 20, and 78 of them were given a Fake Bake spray tan by just one technician, beating the previous record of 67.
The event was staged to promote skin cancer awareness, and launch Girls Day Out, a weekend of fashion, beauty and lifestyle events, which takes place in the city in November.
Lisa Fulton, the international training manager for Fake Bake International admitted that she had been practicing hard to make sure she beat the previous record, which was set in Australia.
Lisa, 36, from Paisley, said: ”I’ve been practisig for weeks but even this morning I thought the record was going to be beyond me," said Lisa, 36, from Paisley, Renfrewshire.
"I'm absolutely exhausted but everyone at Girls' Day Out were over the moon.” She added: “We didn't just beat the record, we smashed it."
Girls Day Out takes place at Glasgow’s SECC from November 5-7 and around 15,000 women are expected to go along. Visitors can enjoy beauty treatments, watch cookery demonstrations, and relax with a cocktail or a glass of champagne while they enjoy a weekend of fabulously girlie fun.
