It’s the Christmas party season and with that comes parties galore! But how can you transform your daytime make-up look to glamourpuss in seconds?
Fashion and beauty expert, Julie Hannah, has picked out some of her favourite make-up products that work wonders in a flash.
Making up eyes properly can transform your whole look, as Julie explained: “The first essential item is a great eye compact, something with more than one colour in it."
She recommends using a palate with a light, medium and dark shadow, to allow you to create the smoky eyes look. This is achieved by sweeping the darkest colour near the lashes, the lightest colour up at the top of the eye socket, and the medium colour in the middle to blend the other two together.
A glitter eyeliner drawn along the lash line is an easy way to add instant sparkle, glamming up any look, a touch of concealer under the eyes ensures there are no unsightly dark shadows, and a quick brush of pressed powder will take away any shine from your face.
“You’re taking all these Christmas party photos, you want to look good in the pictures, and the one thing that doesn’t look good in photos is shine,” she explained.
The final thing to pick is a lip colour, and Julie recommends picking a lipstick in a shade you like and finishing it off with some sparkly lip gloss.
