Edinburghwill play host to last of an iconic breed this August, when magician Piff the Magic Dragon takes to the Fringe stage.
A bit more fiery than your average magician, Piff mixes his card tricks with a vicious and deadpan sense of humour that has had reviewers falling at their feet to proclaim him as one of the festival’s best up-and-coming acts.
Piff is played by John van der Put, Magic Circle’s Close-Up Magician of the Year 2011.
His 2009 Edinburgh debut show PIFF-TACULAR went down a storm and Piff has been a regular fixture at the Fringe ever since.
Described as ‘The last of his species’ by The Skinny, the deadpan comic will be playing back in the capital between 4-28 August at The Store venue in Cowgate.
One of Piff’s most endearing and humorous acts involves a levitating Chihuahua called Mr Piffles, who was picked up in Dundee in 2009. Like his more illustrious owner, Mr Piffles likes to play with fire.
