Original hustler Paul Wilson was joined alongside new recruits Polly Parsons and Jazz Lintott answered some of The Hour viewers about their nerves and excitement about starring in the BBC hit programme.
Mark on Facebook wanted to know if they “get nervous whilst performing their scams?”
Polly explained that it she is a mixture of nerves and excitement, she said: “Yeah I do get nervous cause you just want it to go right, obviously and you don’t want to upset anyone either but I kind of get more excited, I get a little buzz.”
“I would say more excitement than nerves really.”
Jordan asked through the online chat, “Whats the best reaction you’ve had when you’ve scammed a member of the public?”
Newbie hustler Jazz replied: “Last night’s episode was actually very funny, where we got them into a field and into a tent and told them there had been mad cow disease. We got them to strip down and give us their keys to their van and then we drove off.
“But the moment they realised, it was all F-this F-that, we’ve been scammed, they were really upset.”
One of the scariest scams for Jazz recently happened when filming in Scotland.
Jazz said: “We had one which was quite scary it was like this hench guy, he was really quite hard, once he realised what happened. Me and Alex (an original member of The Real Hustle lineup) were driving off with his stuff, he got in his car and chased us.”
Paul added: “The best thing about that was the guy was an 8th degree black belt in karate. If he gets you don’t get out the van.”
The new series of The Real Hustle: New Recruits continues on BBC3 on Monday at 8.30pm.
