Following in the footsteps of KT Tunstall and Amy McDonald, Carrie Mac aims to be the next female artist from Scottish shores to take the charts by storm.
Unlike the wealth of acts currently flooding the UK singles charts with nothing but a short-lived stint on reality TV to their name, this 23-year old from Edinburgh can play violin, guitar and has a voice that would put most of today’s chart ‘sensations’ to shame.
Carrie has been singing and playing violin since a young age, but it was only at the age of 18 that friends and family began to sit up and take notice. It was clear young Carrie had a talent, and the youngster really set herself on the road to stardom when she won the Radio Forth One To Watch Award in 2008.
Two years later she has just released her first single Hello (available on downloadonly), and has already toured with the likes of Sandi Thom and The Proclaimers.
