The Hour is no stranger to welcoming budding singers into the studio – but it was soulful dog Sol who really hit the high notes when he appeared with carer Catherine Fyfe recently.
Presenter Michelle MacManus – no stranger to singing herself – said: “He has been quiet all day and now he starts being noisy! This dog is just beautiful.”
Sol has spent the last year at the Dumfries and Galloway Canine Rescue Centre after being handed in as a stray and is now looking for a new place to call home.
At just 10 months old, Sol is a real character and has kept the Centre entertained over the past 12 months with his excitable and boisterous nature.
Catherine said: “Sol came into our centre as a stray dog over a year ago and he has been with us since then.
“He is very strong and quite a big boy. He likes to talk too. We don’t know anything about his background as he came in as a stray, but we know he is about 10 months old.
“Sol wasn’t used to people when he first came into us but he is much more comfortable now. He has formed a strong bond with myself and is doing very well.”
Catherine is confident that Sol can find the perfect home and described what she would expect from any potential owners:
“He would really like an active household, with maybe somebody that maybe goes hill walking or keeps active.
“Sol would like to live with an older more sensible dog who he can learn from and be in a home with no young children. He is very boisterous and he might knock them over.”
If you think you can give Sol a home please contact the Dumfries and Galloway Canine Centre.
