Suzi Perry tries out the latest in home gadgets

From interiors to home improvements, gardens and gadgets, The Ideal Home Show Scotland is full of home solution ideas, celebrity guest appearances and iconic show houses and offers a unique one stop shopping experience for all areas of the home.

The show is running at the SECC in Glasgow, and presenter of Channel 5’s The Gadget Show Suzi Perry will be showcasing the latest in home gadgets from future must-haves to take home on the day items. Suzi spoke to The Hour about the latest home gadgets on the market. She said:

“There are a lot of girls out there who love their gadgets. I don’t know any women who don’t have a mobile phone or a laptop. We’re all fully gadgeted up. I think now that gadgets are beautiful and they have form and function, they’re like accessories.”

First up Suzi tried out Le Whif, a revolutionary new way of experiencing certain foods and aromas through breathing. The chocolate version gives you all the flavour without the calories, the coffee version gives you a hit of caffeine without having to drink a cup of coffee and there is even a vitamin version that provides all your health needs without having to pop a pill. Le Whif costs less than £2 and could be the key to getting healthy.

Next on Suzi’s list was the Philips Living Ambience globe lamp. Suzi said:

“The difference with this [lamp] is that it changes colour, and not just once or twice, you can get 16 million different colours. It comes with a fantastic little remote that works wirelessly. Obviously if you’re reading a book you want something warm and gentle and there’s automatic settings that will change for you. It will just change the mood of a room.”

Last up was the Sonic chair, which has speakers integrated into the seat and a subwoofer in the back so that you can listen to music in surround sound and feel the vibrations of the music at the same time. Suzi said:

“The chair costs over £12,000 and is a boy’s toy that’s very luxurious.”

The Ideal Home Show Scotland is running at the SECC from Friday May 27 until Monday May 30. For more information see the website.
