If you haven’t got your hands on a Rockness festival ticket, fret not. There are plenty of other things to get up to this weekend that won’t leave you with the world’s biggest hangover.
Blantyre Old Parish are having a summer fete on Saturday at 2pm in Blantyre. You will witness the traditional crowning of the Queen and lots more fun family activities to get involved in, so get along and join in. Admission is £ 2.50 which includes tea/coffee and home baking, everyone is welcome.
St Aidan's Church in Johnstone is having their Annual Fete in the Church grounds on Saturday at 11am. It promises to be a fantastic day to escape with the family and have some fun. Admission is free.
The Finlaystone Rangers are inviting all Pirates to join them for an afternoon of swash buckling pirate fun and games on Sunday at 1pm at Finlaystone Mansion House in Langbank, there will be lots to get involved in including self-led treasure hunt, ‘sink the ship’, ‘soak the pirate’, best dressed pirate & much more. Entry is just £4 for adults and £3 for children. Pirate fancy dress is welcome.
The London to Lossiemouth show is being premiered in Elgin Town Hall Sun 12th June at 5pm in Elgin, this educational and gripping show will tell us the story of the people who were evacuated from London to lossiemouth during World War 2 and how it became to impact on their lives. Entry is Just £8 and everyone is welcome.
