Dr Christy’s raw chocolate recipe

Did you think that you would never be able to eat chocolate without feeling guilty?
Then think again.

Dr Christy Fergusson’s provides her favourite chocolate recipe with no added sugar or dairy, high in antioxidants and packed with taste!

Ingredients:
• One cup of coconut oil  (although this a saturated fat it has thermogenic properties making it ideal for weight loss)
• One cup of cacao powder
• 1/2 cup of cacao butter
• 1/2 cup of agave syrup  (low glycaemic load sweetener I use instead of honey)
• 1/4 cup of water
•Optional flavourings - one dessertspoon of hazelnut butter, one dessertspoon of lucuma powder and one dessertspoon of mesquite
 
Method:
1. Melt the coconut oil and the cacao butter (these are solid at room temperature). Add to a mixing bowl then whisk in the cacao powder, agave and the water. Make sure its super smooth.
2. You can play around with these and adjust the quantities till it tastes delicious to you. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, pour into ice cube trays and pop into the freezer for a couple of hours until firm.
3. Cherry active could also be added as it's packed with antioxidants and taste's delicious.
