Nutritionists are forever telling us to breakfast like a king to give our bodies enough fuel for the day ahead.
Many of us aren’t all that hungry at an early hour, but Glasgow restaurant The Grill Room at the Square is doing whatever it can to entice diners to indulge first thing, with a brand new breakfast menu.
Perhaps the most eye-catching addition to the menu is the restaurant’s menu is their trademark Certified Beef Steak, an 8oz Scotch sirloin steak. Served up with two free range fried eggs, mushrooms and a tomato, it's sure to satisfy even the biggest of appetites!
Goodies including pancakes, waffles, fresh fruit platters, French toast, kippers, smoked salmon, porridge and eggs are also on offer for those who fancy something a little bit lighter, and the trusty old fry-up is also available.
David Friel, executive head chef at the restaurant, said: “It is true to say that breakfast is by far the most important meal of the day, but for most people it usually includes an uninspiring piece of toast or nothing at all.
”I’m really excited about our menu, it gives breakfast the respect it deserves as a meal and whether you’re heading to the office during the week or planning a day of shopping at the weekend.”
