Summertime seems to have finally arrived so if you’re looking for something to occupy your summer nights, perhaps a bit of sugarcraft is in order.
Colin and Justin bicker in the kitchen as baker Paul Bradford attempts to teach them how to make the perfect cupcakes. Paul also demonstrates to the presenting duo how to make bumblebees to top off their buttercream iced cupcakes.
"You can get these ingredients in most supermarkets and for the more arty tools you can pick them up at any art store. It’s quite an easy process requiring three different colours of sugarpaste, and edible ink pen, and a bit of rice paper."
Edible ink is used to draw on the sugar paste creations as Paul shows them how to create edible bumblebees. Sugar paper wings are added to the sugar bumblebees which you can then pop on top of the cupcakes.
The same process is used to create the pig cakes. This again is reasonably simple, and requires pink sugarpaste and a few tools of the trade.
If you follow Paul's simple steps you will be able to create some summer themed cupcakes of your own.
