Popstar to Operastar judge Katherine Jenkins has asked her fans not to buy her new album.

The album is being released by her former record label Decca and does not contain any new material.

Jenkins took to twitter to tell fans: "There is NO new music and it's stuff u already have.

"The NEW album with all new tracks is called Daydream.

"Make sure you get the right one!"

Katherine quit the label in 2008 to sign a huge £5.8million deal with rivals Warner Brothers.

Jenkins is to release Daydream on her new  label on October 10 but feels her former employers are trying to scupper sales by putting out a compilation the same day.
