X Factor contestant Jamie Archer is threatening to quit the show after a breakdown in his relationship with mentor Simon Cowell. The new low comes after Jamie was reportedly banned from going on tour with Bon Jovi.
The band appeared as guests on the show during Rock Week and offered Jamie a support role the tour, according to The Sun.
The moved was blocked by X Factor producers after they claimed that Jamie is under contract to the X Factor.
The 34-year-old singer previously fell out with Simon when he changed the song Jamie was to sing 24-hours before the show.
A friend told the newspaper that the Bon Jovi ban could be the nail in the coffin as Jamie does not think he can win the show and the rock tour is his best chance of fame.
They said: "Jamie's fed up with the competition and how Simon is treating him.
"He was on the verge of quitting at the weekend because he was so angry at being given rubbish songs and some judges' comments. He hasn't forgiven Simon for changing his song.
"Their relationship is not great. There were already serious cracks but not it's more like the Grand Canyon."
The pal added: "He feels Simon gives him rubbish songs to make people vote for Olly Murs and Danyl Johnson. He calmed down and decided to stay as he realised it's incredible exposure."
