John and Edward are getting an 'unfair advantage'

X Factor hopefuls John and Edward have upset some of their fellow competitors, according to a report. Sources told a tabloid newspaper that some of this year's contestants are "jealous" over the "preferential treatment" that they believe has been given to the twins.

An X Factor insider told the Daily Mirror that some of the acts are unhappy that the boys have been given the best performing slots and the "lion's share" of rehearsal time.

It is thought that the 18-year-olds will be the last act to perform on Movie Week.

A source said: "John and Edward have their most ambitious performance of the series tonight and have needed lots of rehearsal time to get it right but it has gone down like a lead balloon with some of their competitors.

"Some of the acts think it gives them an unfair advantage in the race to win the X Factor recording contract and have been bitching and moaning about it."

The insider claimed that their was unrest over the scheduling of John and Edward's performance of 'Ghostbusters'.

The source added: "Everyone likes to perform towards to end as it is closer to when the voting opens and their performances are obviously fresher in the public's minds."
