Corrie newcomer Kenny Doughty is to return to the soap for another episode at the end of the year. The actor was originally signed to play builder Jake for six episodes back in August.
Weatherfield bosses were pleased with the impact of his character and signed the 30-year-old actor for a further episode, which is scheduled to air in December.
Doughty wrote on his Twitter account: "Pleased to say I'm going back for one more episode on Corrie! Yipee!
"Will keep nudging them for longer though as I love it on the Street!"
Jake first hit our screens last week when he was hired by Dev Alahan (Jimmi Harkishin) to fix the leaking roof at the kebab shop flat.
The flat is rented by Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh) who hauled the builder in through her window when she found him hanging off the guttering.
He got more than he bargained for when Michelle's towel dropped to the floor leaving her standing in the nude.
Jake's storyline continues as he lands a job in Scotland and is forced to leave the barmaid behind.
He tries to persuade her to go north with him but she reluctantly declines.
