Three rescue remedies to brighten eyes this winter

Refresh and rejuvenate your eyes this winter with three great products picked out by beauty expert Julie Hannah. It’s important to look after the skin around your eyes as it is far more sensitive than the rest of your face. It is also necessary to prevent against tired, puffy and red looking eyes.

The first product Julie chose was eyeslices biotanix available for £12.95 from These are cooling gel disks that you put over your eyes. They have organically certified ingredients and can be re-used for up to two weeks.

Liz Earle’s EyeBright is a great two-in-one product. Not only does it effectively remove make-up but it is also a soothing eye bath. It’s a very light feeling liquid with witch hazel and aloe vera to sooth tired eyes. It is available from for £9.70.

Julie said: “Just soak a cotton wool pad with it, place on your eyes sit back and relax for ten minutes and let the witch hazel and aloe vera do the work.”

The final product Julie picked out is a great treat. It’s by a company called Filorga, who mainly make medical aesthetic products like dermal fillers, but they have starting making products that can be used at home.

Liss and Go and is an eye lifting liquid that works on the skin around the eye. Its £32 for five liquid-filled cotton swabs and they are available from House of Fraser.

Julie said: “Its just a quick fix and as its quite expensive if you are going somewhere special this will do the trick.”
