As we near the end of January, good intentions often go out the window as the initial buzz around exercise and diet plans fades.
Don’t give up!
Nutritionist Amanda Hamilton believes it is important to keep motivated and remember the real reason why you want to get in shape.
If you’re doing it so you can enjoy more activities with your family and outdoor fun with the kids, then think of the benefits you can have by the time the good weather comes around. You’ll be the fit mum or dad ready to take on fellow parents in the egg and spoon race this sports day.
With Valentines day fast approaching, your motivation may to be feel a little sexier so keep the 14th of February in sight and perhaps treat your self to a new outfit or underwear to show off all you have achieved.
Perhaps you are simply trying to achieve a healthier lifestyle and feel better about yourself and that is as good a reason as any.
Write down your goals and leave them in a place where you will see them and this can act as a gentle reminder.
Put a picture of the dress / bikini / outfit you really want and every time you’re tempted to go off track, you will visualise your desired end result.
Good luck!
