If you liked the first series of gritty drama Love/Hate then make sure to tune in when it returns for a brand new six-part series on January 5 2012.
Set in Dublin’s gangland, the edgy show returns one year after Darren’s quest for revenge for his brother ended up with him being shot, as he tried to walk away from John Boy Power’s toxic world.
He's still trying to recover from his injuries and recurring nightmares, as he tries to persuade Rosie (Ruth Negga) to come home from London. Then when John Boy pays off a large debt, Darren finds himself in the worst situation, trapped under his control again.
John Boy is struggling with demons of his own too; still spooked by the death of his brother Hughie, his drug habit is spiralling out of control, making him paranoid and erratic.
Nidge (Tom Vaughan Lawlor) meanwhile, who is now John Boy's second in command and principle enforcer, is trying to juggle an always tricky personal and professional life.
Trish (Aoibhinn McGinnity) is just about to give birth, and Nidge must try to maintain peace as John Boy becomes more and more volatile and unpredictable. Then when a consignment of drugs is impounded by customs, a war with a rival gang leader Fran (Peter Coonan) kicks off.
With a stellar cast that includes Aidan Gillen, Robert Sheehan, Ruth Negga, Tom Vaughan Lawlor, Aoibhinn McGinnity and Peter Coonan, Love/Hate is must-see drama at it’s best.
