Bailiffs serve papers on Hell's Kitchen star

Hell's Kitchen contestant Grant Bovey is facing the treat of bankruptcy according to a report.

Anthea Turner's husband was served with legal papers by bailiffs when he arrived home on Friday, says the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claimed that the property developer is responsible for the debts referred to in the documents and said that if he fails to repay the money he could be declared bankrupt.

Last year the credit crunch hit the 48-year-old's buy-to-let company Imagine Homes which went under owing £50million.

Bovey is said to have had a tense exchange with the baliff who came to his £6million property in Surrey to deliver the papers.

A spokesman for Mr Bovey's lawyers Mishcon de Reya said: "Proceedings have been served on him and will be very robustly defended."

In a recent interview Anthea Turner said: "I know our situation isn't in the same league as someone who is going to lose a house or not be able to afford a bus fare, but it's still shocking to lose what we have.

"I know we aren't going to be homeless. It isn't about money, it's about losing face, pride, everything you have worked for."
