He heads over to the Butlers place and fixes a fence post that needs mended but he feels useless around them, unable to give comfort or support. Later, Lisa tries to chat with Zak but he closes off and makes his way upstairs.

Megan jokes with Declan over whether she’ll accept the job offer, while Katie secretly hopes she turns it down. Megan arranges a lunch meeting with Declan to discuss the position, while Katie asks Jai about her background. Jai reservedly reveals that Megan once had a deal with Declan that ended very badly. Meanwhile, Declan tells Megan who Mia’s real father was and he comes clean about needing her skills for the festival so he can work towards getting the Barton’s onside again. Megan still has her concerns, leaving Declan irritated with the situation. Lunch is tense and Declan believes Megan won’t get involved in the festival. Later , Megan and Katie come face to face and tension escalates with the pair digging at each other. Katie and Declan are speechless when Megan reveals she’s willing to go speak to the Barton’sbut as Declan cracks open the champagne, Katie is left to consider what will happen next.

Also, Gennie is concerned about Nikhil – he agreed to forget about running today but when she discovers he’s decided to go for one she begins to worry he’s addicted. Ashley’s frustration with his father living under their roof continues but his mood is lightened when Laurel agrees to spend a romantic evening together. Andy’s annoyed with Cameron when he drops Sarah off expecting him to drop his plans and take her to school. Things get worse when Sarah asks if he’ll be at her party. Later, Andy stops by to discuss Sarah’s party and makes something clear to Cameron: he’ll stay away from Debbie but he’ll not be separated from Sarah.
