He doesn’t want to accept the truth and tries to convince himself everything is going to be fine. He can’t stop himself from questioning Val’s intentions as she prepares to leave. Val’s caught out when she tries to quash his concerns but Amy is shocked when Val says it is tempting to stay out in Portugal. Pollard, Amy and Diane are shocked at Val’s spitefulness as she strides off into a taxi despite Pollard’s pleads for her to stay.

Moira’s heartbreak is prolonged as John tells her he can never forgive her for cheating on him. Chas is still down from the previous night and John’s rattled when Adam has a go at him for his actions. Adam is taken aback when John reveals his fling with Chas is over and Chas puts a brave face on as John apologises to her. Moira worries things still aren’t looking up between her and John. Moira visits the farm and tells John she still loves him. She hopes her feelings are requited but John insists his feelings towards her have changed, he no longer loves Moira. He tells her once and for all that he won’t forgive her for the hurt she’s caused him.

Also, Rachel clings to hope that she has a chance with Marlon and heads to work with her hair and makeup done. She thinks if she makes an effort she’ll catch his eye. Ruby feels uncomfortable with Marlon’s offer of a loan. Marlon goes to give Rachel the money but she’s mortified when she moves in to kiss him and Marlon backs away from her. When she gets home Rachel explains what has happened with Marlon and Ali is suspicious when Ruby says they can’t possibly accept Marlon’s offer now.
