There’s still tension between Adam and Aaron as Alicia, Diane and Marlon all agree the situation with John and Chas will only end in tears and heartbreak. Meanwhile, Chas anticipates a fun afternoon at the farm as John leads her upstairs but she feels rejected when he pulls away, telling her he can’t do this. He’s gutted when she wants to leave and asks him to drop her home. Brenda puts her foot in it when she tells Moira about spotting John and Chas together. Brenda’s mortified and Moira is distraught knowing they’re alone together. Adam, Alex and Holly try to comfort Moira but she realises Chas is at the farm and leaves upset. Chas keeps up a brave face when John drops her home. She tells John to go get Moira if it’s what he really wants. Moira bumps into Chas on her way out, the pair argue and Moira slaps Chas across the face feeling betrayed by her. Yet Moira clings to hope when Chas tells her John wouldn’t sleep with her because he still loves Moira.
Val’s plan is exposed. Val’s concerned when Pollard and David manage to solve her passport plot as they set off to drive to Durham to collect a new one, Val fakes a fainting episode but Pollard has his suspicions and Val’s busted when Pollard discovers there’s no flight ticket for him. Val is out of excuses and Amy tells her either they all go or Val goes on her own. Diane and Pollard find it hard to accept that Val would sink this low and things get worse when Val asks Pollard to persuade Amy to go without her. Val makes a passing comment to Diane about staying in Portugal if Amy likes it but she picks up on the truth behind her statement.
Also, Katie and Nicola are shamefaced when Charity asks Declan about his project and he retorts that neither can be trusted to keep their mouths shut. They can’t believe it when Aaron tells them he’s planning a music festival and he’s glad his plans are finally out in the open. Rachel’s depressed as she confides in Marlon about Ruby wanting her and Ali to move back to town.
