Chas turned up in a blaze of glory as a strippergram dressed as a nun at cousin Marlon’s stag night, on 16th October 2002.
She is the brash tart with a heart but Chas is far brighter than most of the Dingles. She is divorced and son Aaron lives with Paddy Kirk.
It seemed that Chas and Carl King were destined to be together and that she would escape the Dingle way of life for something much more glam, but Carl cheated on her and that put an end to their relationship.
She then got together with policeman Denzil Calburn but in her heart she still loved Carl. Heartbroken and angry after she found out that Chloe had deliberately split up her and Carl, Chas left Emmerdale to join the army. While she was away, Carl realised he loved her and wanted her back. He ran after her as she was driving off to a wedding reception and declared his love for her in front of her fellow officers. Chas was furious, not least when Carl fell over while carrying her and broke her leg.
Carl proposed to Chas however, she found out that Carl had slept with her cousin Del while she’d been in the army. Del told her not to throw the relationship away and Chas and Carl moved into Home Farm. The relationship was never going to go smoothly though and eventually Carl distanced himself from Chas as he didn’t want her to find out he had murdered his father.
Chas had a couple of kisses and cuddles with her cousin Eli, but that came to an end after Eli also kissed their other cousin Debbie. Nothing like keeping it in the family!
Despite the amount of time that had passed since her split from Carl, the pair got back together, but when Chas found out that he'd been having an affair with Eve, she cruelly got her revenge on the cheating scoundrel by ditching him at the altar.
She later became joint owner of the Woolpack and has recently had to deal with her son Aaron's grief following the death of his partner Jackson.
Lucy Pargeter has appeared on TV in shows including Crossroads, Soldier, Soldier and Dalziel and Pascoe. In the late nineties, Lucy was one third of all-girl band Paper Dolls and toured with top boyband Boyzone. She has appeared in the film Anita and Me. In 2006 she came third in ITV’s singing competition Soapstar Superstar.
