Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye has revealed her excitement at being part of the soap’s 40th anniversary plans.
The actress, who has recently joined the soap as ruthless Megan Macey, cannot wait to be part of the storylines that the show has got planned for October’s milestone.
She revealed: “I missed out on the Corrie one, so I’m going to do the Emmerdale one! That will be fantastic. They’ve got some brilliant things planned.”
Gaynor, who previously played Judy Mallet in Coronation Street, has been delighted with how welcoming her Emmerdale cast-mates have been.
“They’re so lovely, it’s so nice,” she said. “Everybody’s been so kind to me. They’ve shown me down the corridors.
“Because all the studios are different, I’m often found wandering down the corridors!
“They’ve been really, really lovely. I know it’s a cliché and everyone says that it’s like one big family, but it really is.”
Emmerdale will celebrate its 40th anniversary on October 16. Catch the show on STV from 7pm every weeknight.
