Dancing on Ice

At 66. Laila Morse is the oldest contestant taking part in this year’s Dancing on Ice, but she isn’t letting age get in the way of her ice cool ambitions.

The actress, who plays Mo in Eastenders, said: “My friends and family all think I'm mad, skating at my age but it's a challenge and they did say they'll all come down so I'll have a full house in the audience!”
 
She continued: “I'm looking forward to being apart of the whole show and especially meeting the other celebrities. I’ve already bumped into Heidi Range from the Sugababes and Andy Whyment from Corrie and we were all chatting about our training.”

And there will be no holding back in the lycra stakes for this lovely lady.

Laila says bring on the sequins and sparkles! “I can't wait for all of it, the sparkles, false eyelashes and tans; It's like being pampered!  We’ll be skating out each Sunday looking like we've been tangoed!” Just like on-screen granddaughter Kat Moon then Laila?

Laila has also built up a close bond with skating partner Lukasz Rozycki, who she says is a “really nice guy.”

Will Laila prove she is ice queen or will she be heading back to the Queen Vic this Sunday? We’ll find out when the show kicks off at 6.30 on Sunday January 8 at 6.30pm.
