Dancing on Ice

Charlene Tilton is swapping her Stetson for ice skates as she gears up to take part in Dancing on Ice 2012… something she is very excited about!

At 52, gorgeous Charlene is leading the way for the more mature lady on DOI this year, but she’s a feisty one and a woman on a mission.

The former Dallas star said: “My goal is to have Jayne Torvill's butt. I’m going to put a picture of her toosh on my refrigerator. Skaters have that bottom that's lifted and toned, it's fantastic, they all have it!”

Helping her achieve ‘buns of steel’ is professional partner Matt Gonzalez. While Charlene is determined to give it her all, she has had to overcome one pretty major obstacle for the show – she hates the cold.

She said: “I do have to toughen up as I don't like the cold and I'm a big sissy! I'm not a physical, athletic person at all, so this is really out of my comfort zone.”

But don’t rule Ms Tilton out just yet. She has a few surprises lurking up her lycra, diamond encrusted sleeve…

“It's such an intense experience. I'm also looking forward to surprising some people with what I can do. When you get to my age, it just comes to show what you can do. With concentration and hard work you can accomplish things, it all boils down to ‘hard work pays off’.”

Will Charlene melt hearts on the ice or will her lack of love for the cold receive a frosty reception from the judges? We’ll find out when the show kicks off on Sunday January 8.
