Dancing on Ice

Sam Nixon may not be able to participate in Sunday night's Dancing on Ice.

The children's TV presenter sustained injuries to his head and knee during training for this week's Ultimate Skills Test.

Sources told a Sunday newspaper that show insiders were concerned that Sam will not recover in time to take to the ice with his pro partner.

An insider told The People: "Yesterday Sam couldn't even stand on the ice.

"He spent all day having intensive physio He missed filming rehearsals which is a real disadvantage.

"Everyone hopes he will be on the ice tonight."

However, Nixon told his followers on twitter that he hopes to be able to skate.

He tweeted: "Just started the dress run. I have a feeling tonight's show is going to be dramatic.

"Ultimate skills week has been the toughest yet. Sam"
