BRIT Awards 2010: Best British Group is Kasabian

The Wire and American Gangster star Idris Elba was on hand to present the Best British Group award.

He got everyone upstairs "who wasn't having a nosebleed" to give a cheer, and saluted The Who's perfomance at the Superbowl last week. There was even a cheeky reference to faithful footballers.

The nominees were Friendly Fires, JLS, Kasabian, Doves and Muse.

And the winners were Kasabian, six years since they released their debut album.

One "wow" later, Kasabian thanked everyone who's been with them since day one.

Singer Tom cryptically said "you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs." Why? Perhaps we'll never know...
