The 22 year old singer-songwriter finally got the recognition she deserved having previously penned lyrics for artists including Justin Timberlake and Miley Cyrus, but conversations and reports surrounding her dress choice have generated just as much interest as her achievement.
Personally, as one who bows down to style icons like Karen O and Alison Goldfrapp, I think she looked amazing and brought a real edge to what was otherwise a fairly safe and dull evening in the fashion stakes (apart from Rihanna’s red carpet Christian Dior cockatiel inspired frock – thumbs down).
She rocked a dark green angular Vivienne Westwood mini which left little to be desired but with her vampish makeup, statement tights (Wolford Nola Tights available from Tightsplease in case you fancy copying the look) and sharp bob, Jessie pulled the look together ensuring she stood out from the crowd.
But this was not to everyone’s taste. Lorraine fashion expert Mark Hayes felt it was more frock horror and did nothing to compliment her shape.
Heatworld said: “We usually applaud Jessie's off-the-wall style but we're not keen on this. Bit longer around the crotch next time please.”
Well Jessie, for what it’s worth, on all accounts I thought you brought a real sense os style to last night’s proceedings. What do you think? Who did you enjoy seeing at last night’s BRITs? Use our comment system to tell us.
